The annual Far Eastside Festival will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27 at the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside, 8902 E. 38th St.

A celebration of the community, the free festival will feature local vendors, free food and a kids zone. An entertainment stage will feature live music, youth performances and cultural showcases.

New to the festival this year is a charity basketball tournament and the return of a youth entrepreneurship section where child entrepreneurs will launch their own businesses selling items. Children participated in a three-part series at CAFE where they learned marketing, branding, and advertising skills.
