Indianapolis residents can get assistance connecting with federal agencies at a free event at the Community Alliance for the Far Eastside.

Staff from the office of Rep. André Carson, who represents Indy’s northern six townships in Congress, will be at CAFE 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 21. They will be available to speak with neighbors who might be facing challenges working with the federal government and share information about available resources.

Residents can get help with issues around health insurance, social security or veteran benefits. They can also ask questions about passports, immigration and federal tax returns.

The event is open to residents in Indiana’s 7th District. CAFE is located at 8902 E. 38th St. More information can be found on CAFE’s Facebook page.
