If you live on the east side and have some home repairs you’ve been meaning to get to, this program may be able to help.

New Direction Church and Englewood Community Development Corp. are partnering to help eastside homeowners get basic home and safety improvements, including roof repairs.

The repairs will be done through the Nehemiah Project and New Direction Church’s construction education program. The initiative is funded by the Indianapolis African American Quality of Life Initiative.

To apply for home repairs, fill out this Google form. You can also pick up a physical application at one of New Direction Church’s campuses, either at 7701 E. 86th St. or 5640 E. 38th St.

To qualify for free repairs, you need to own and live in your home, live on the east side and meet certain income limits. For example, your yearly income cannot be over $88,550 for a family of four.
