The Eiteljorg’s annual holiday model railroad, Jingle Rails, opens for its 15th running on Nov. 16 and continues at the Eiteljorg through Jan. 20, 2025.
This year, a new building miniature will join the existing miniatures of Monument Circle, Lucas Oil Stadium and other landmarks in the train layout: A model of the Madam Walker Theatre.
Like the other miniature backdrops in Jingle Rails, the Walker Theatre model will be made of all-natural materials.
This year during Jingle Rails, the Eiteljorg plans to host special programs, including weekend Winter Markets, with 10 local artists selling their handmade art from booths on four Saturdays during the holidays — Nov. 23, Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 – where visitors can find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
Jingle Rails will be open for later hours (until 7 p.m.) on certain weekend nights in December; check Eiteljorg.org/JingleRails for details and advance tickets.
