Adults can learn how to prevent getting scammed with a free workshop at the Fort Ben library branch. 

The consumer protection and scam prevention class will be 11 a.m. to noon April 7. The attorney general’s office will lead the class. 

The class covers common scams, data privacy and other topics around consumer protection. Participants can also learn how to file a consumer complaint with the attorney general’s office and search for unclaimed property. 

Registration can be completed online. The Fort Ben library branch is at 9330 E. 56th St.
