Learn to shop smart and eat better at a series of free classes happening at four Indy Parks locations throughout October.

IU Indianapolis’ Diabetes Impact Project – Indianapolis Neighborhoods, or DIP-IN, will teach attendees how to choose snacks that keep energy levels steady, as well as curb cravings and choose budget-friendly foods.

Classes are free for Marion County residents. If you go, you can get food samples and recipes, and you’ll have a chance to win prizes.

Here’s the class schedule for October:

🗓️ 1:30-2:30 p.m. Oct. 15
📍 Washington Park, 3130 E. 30th St.

🗓️ 11 a.m.-noon Oct. 16
📍 Frederick Douglass Park, 1616 E. 25th St.

🗓️ 1-2 p.m. Oct. 21
📍 Municipal Gardens Family Center, 1831 Lafayette Road
