How do you plan to reach out to constituents about what their needs are?
As the incumbent constable, I regularly engage constituents through monthly community and neighborhood meetings and my service on local boards, committees and commissions. These efforts allow me to stay connected to residents’ needs and respond in real time. I also maintain open communication through events, partnerships and direct outreach.
What is the top issue facing your district that you think you would have the power to address as constable?
As the incumbent, I believe the top issue is ensuring consistent, professional service while maintaining public trust. I have implemented clear expectations and accountability measures to improve service delivery. Continuing to strengthen these standards will remain a priority.
What role does a good constable play in township government?
As the current constable, I serve as a direct link between the courts and the community. This role requires professionalism, fairness, and a commitment to safe and efficient service. I take seriously the responsibility to uphold the law while treating all individuals with dignity.
One issue we hear consistently is that people aren’t properly served. What efforts would you make to serve legal paperwork to people?
As the incumbent, I prioritize timely, lawful and well-documented service of legal paperwork. I have strengthened training, oversight and the use of technology to track service and ensure compliance. This helps guarantee proper notice and protects due process.
How would you vet deputy constables?
As the incumbent, I have implemented a thorough vetting process that includes national, state and local background checks. We also verify references, consult with other law enforcement agencies when appropriate and review the sex offender registry. Deputies must complete mandatory training and meet ongoing performance standards to serve.
