The Indiana Department of Education has added new features to a dashboard comparing academic data for schools across the state.

The department first launched its Indiana Graduates Prepared to Succeed dashboard about a year ago and has added new features over time.

This latest round of updates allows the public to search for school data by city or ZIP code, as well as view new information about third grade reading. The tool also allows users to save schools and return to that data later.

“When we first launched Indiana GPS in December 2022, we shared that one of the guiding principles of this platform is that it will be nimble and constantly improving based on feedback,” Indiana Secretary of Education Katie Jenner said in a news release.

This comes just after the department unveiled a new database comparing literacy rates in schools across the state. State officials say more updates are expected to come to the Indiana GPS dashboard in the future.

The data is available on the education department website.
