Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears is inviting Indianapolis parents who owe child support to take advantage of his office’s Good Faith Initiative

The program, launched in 2019, helps noncustodial parents who have had their driver’s licenses suspended for failing to pay child support. The suspensions are lifted if the noncustodial parents provide an initial child support payment, agree to an affordable payment plan and update their employment information.

The program has helped lift hundreds of suspensions since its launch, according to Marisa Watson-Juarez, spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office.

Eligible parents can apply through the city’s website, email CSGoodFaith@indy.gov or call 317-327-1800. Applicants may also be directed to the prosecutor’s Second Chance Workshops, which help residents lift license suspensions, expunge criminal records and learn about child support services.
