High school students can get paid to earn college credit at Ivy Tech Indianapolis this summer.

The college is hosting its annual summer health care academy, a free program for students who are interested in pursuing careers in health care. Students will take three free Ivy Tech courses — including a CPR and basic life support class — and earn 4.5 college credits.

They’ll also get a variety of health-related career experiences, including a simulation, lab demonstrations and a virtual reality clinic.

Camp participants will also get paid. If a student attends every session of the camp, they will receive $500. Students with between one and four absences will get $250.
