Celebrate the start of the winter holiday season at A Lawrence Christmas. 

The free event is 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at Lawrence Civic Plaza, 5710 Lawrence Village Parkway.

The event will feature a winter parade, a variety show and the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree. There will also be a holiday market, food trucks and an ice skating rink. 

The tree lighting will happen at 6:50 p.m. More information and a schedule of events can be found online.
