Learn how to use worms to turn table scraps into plant food at a free workshop 4-5 p.m. March 18 at the Martindale Brightwood library branch.

The class will focus on vermicomposting, a method that uses worms to create compost. The workshop will cover what can be composted, how to keep worms safe and how to maintain a worm composting bin.

Registration for the workshop can be completed online. The Martindale Brightwood library is located at 2434 N. Sherman Drive. More free gardening classes can be found on the library’s event calendar
