If you get help paying for food through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, you might not get assistance starting in November.
The program is running out of money because of the federal government shutdown. The U.S. Department of Agriculture runs the program and has told states to stop working on benefits for November.
Below are some options around Marion County to get help finding food. This is not a full list of resources. You can use the Community Compass website to find help with groceries, meals and more.
We will update this list as we learn of more resources.
