The City of Southport is gearing up for a year of free community events.

The southside city will host free events for residents nearly once a month through the end of the year, beginning with an Easter egg hunt in April. 

Southport’s Easter egg hunt is scheduled for 10 a.m. April 4 at Southport Park, 6901 Derbyshire Road. 

Residents can find more information about the egg hunt and other community events on the city’s social media, or by checking out Southport’s online or physical newsletter.

  • May 9: Southport Park Beautification Day 
  • June 14: Flag Retirement Ceremony 
  • June 27: Independence Day Parade/Celebration 
  • July 11: Music in the Park 
  • Aug. 4: National Night Out   
  • Aug. 22: Movie in the Park 
  • Sept. 19: Southport Park Beautification Day 
  • Oct. 17: Southport Fall Festival 
  • Dec. 12: Santa through the City
