Southsiders can grab a blanket and a lawn chair on Aug. 16 for a music and movie night in Southport.

Community members can listen to a live DJ before “The Goonies” movie is played after sunset. There will also be giveaways, refreshments and games.

Attend the free event at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at Southport Park, 6901 Derbyshire Road.
