KIPP Indy Public Schools and the local youth nonprofit SuperChris are planning to give away hundreds of toys to Indianapolis families this holiday season.

The free community toy giveaway will be noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at KIPP Indy, 1740 E. 30th St.

Children must be present and between the ages of 0 to 15 to receive toys. The event is open to all, regardless of where your child attends school. Families must also bring a state-issued ID.

Students who make their school’s honor roll will also be eligible for additional gifts, such as TVs, laptops and bicycles. Sixth graders and above are asked to bring a report card.

KIPP Indy and SuperChris estimate they supported 600 children in last year’s giveaway.

The partners are seeking support for this year’s event. Toy donations and financial contributions can be provided through Monday, Dec. 15. Details about how to contribute are available on SuperChris’ website.
