Eastsiders can learn more about policies affecting their child’s education and meet local decisionmakers at Warren Township’s annual legislative forum.

The forum is sponsored by the Warren Township Board of Education, which has invited a dozen state and local policymakers to attend.

The event will be from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Warren Education & Community Center, 975 N. Post Road. No registration is required to attend.

You can look up your local and state representatives by providing your home address to this website. 

Invited lawmakers, including eastside city councilors, represent districts that include parts of Indianapolis. Potential panelists include:

  • Sen. LaKeisha Jackson, D-Indianapolis
  • Sen. Andrea Hunley, D-Indianapolis
  • Sen. Michael Crider, R-Greenfield
  • Sen. Aaron Freeman, R-Indianapolis
  • Rep. Mitch Gore, D-Indianapolis
  • Rep. Blake Johnson, D-Indianapolis
  • Rep. Robin Shackleford, D-Indianapolis
  • Councilor Michael-Paul Hart, a Republican
  • Councilor Rena Allen, a Democrat
  • Councilor Keith Graves, a Democrat
  • Councilor Brian Mowery, a Republican
  • Councilor Andy Nielsen, a Democrat
