UPDATE March 25, 2024: Wayne Township announced today that officials pushed back the cleanup to Wednesday, March 27 because of potential rain.
Wayne Township will hold a community cleanup on Tuesday, March 26, to beautify a portion of Little Eagle Creek near Mount Jackson Cemetery.
The event will be held in honor of World Water Day, which the United Nations established in 1993 to bring awareness to the billions of people without access to clean drinking water. Wayne Township’s cleanup will be held a few days after the official March 22 observance day.

Volunteers will help remove debris from the Little Eagle Creek, a source of water for Indianapolis and other downstream communities.

Members of the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office, Wayne Township Fire Department and the nonprofit organization Reconnecting with our Waterways will provide supplies.
The cleanup will begin at 9 a.m and extend until noon. Volunteers should meet at the Mount Jackson Cemetery at 210 Tibbs Ave.
