The next meeting of the Westside Community Association in Wayne Township will focus on identifying the neighborhood’s strengths and how to make the most of them.
The Jan. 14 meeting will feature speakers from the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center, a nonprofit organization that offers training, resources and support to help communities address quality of life issues, such as fighting neighborhood blight, feeding families and improving infrastructure.Â
The center also helps communities receive grants to improve their neighborhoods, like the grants it awarded to Friends of Belmont Beach for park programming, Fonseca Theatre Company for neighborhood beautification and Lynhurst Baptist Church for the creation of a new park on unused land.
The meeting is set for 6-8:30 p.m. at the Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N. Girls School Road.
