Enlace Academy is inviting the community to a night of art and culture celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

The event will highlight eight Latin American countries with displays of art and artifacts representing their culture. Featured countries and their work include:

  • Nicaragua with cardboard looms creating small textiles
  • Mexico with hojalatas
  • Guatemala with coil pots
  • El Salvador with basket weaving
  • Argentina with textiles
  • Venezuela with resin jars
  • Columbia with jewelry
  • Peru with 3D carving

Student work will be showcased alongside local artisans like Carlos Sosa. Food vendors will also be available and guests are encouraged to wear heritage clothing.

The free event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Enlace Academy, 3725 N. Kiel Ave. For more information, visit the school’s website.
