The end of the spooky season is near, but there is still time to celebrate leading up to Halloween night.

Here are several family-friendly Halloween events happening on the east side. The events are free unless otherwise noted.


A Night Out in Sleepy Hollow

📍 Irving Circle Park, 236 S. Audubon Road
🗓️ 7 p.m. Oct. 24

The annual Irvington tradition features haunted tales from writing contest winners and a reading of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving.


Haunted House at Ellenberger Park

📍 5301 E. St. Clair St.
🗓️ 5-9 p.m. Oct. 24-26
🎟️ $7 admission

If you make it through the haunted house, you get a treat goodie bag. A Halloween keychain will be available for the first 100 visitors.


Irvington Street Fair

🗓️ 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 26

The conclusion of Irvington’s weeklong Halloween festival is a full day of fun with costume, cackling and pumpkin carving contests. Find the full schedule, parking suggestions and street closure information online.


Haunted House at Indy Island Aquatic Center

📍 8575 E. Raymond St.
🗓️ 5-9 p.m. Oct. 26-27
🎟️ $5 admission

Treat goodie bags will be offered to those who make it through the haunted house. A Halloween keychain will be available for the first 100 visitors.


Treats at Tab

📍 Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, 418 E 34th St.
🗓️ Noon Oct. 27

Face painting, lunch and games. Indoor trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger.


Trunk or Treat at CAFE

📍 Community Alliance of the Far Eastside, 8902 E. 38th St.
🗓️ 4-6 p.m. Oct. 28

Candy, food and fun for all ages.


Night at the Ville

📍 Broganville Farm, 11650 E 30th St.
🗓️ 6 p.m. Oct. 31
🚗 $5 parking

Horseback riding, petting farm and a costume contest.
