Martin University will hold a self-care seminar for Black men Jan. 18.
The free event, which is for those 16 and older, aims to help Black men improve their mental and emotional well-being. In workshops and discussions, participants will learn about tools for stress management and facilitating healthy relationships.
The seminar is being hosted by Healthy Masculinity, a new organization founded to advocate for better mental-health services for Black men. Based in Indianapolis, it’s run by Devon Holifield, a career development manager at Martin.

The event is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 18 at Martin University, 2186 N. Sherman Drive.
