If you want to learn more about tech careers, check out these free classes at the library this fall.
Per Scholas, a technical school, will host a series of informational sessions about careers in information technology at Indianapolis Public Library branches across the city.
The first sessions will be on Sept. 4 at the Irvington and East Washington library branches.
In addition to learning about careers and connecting with professionals working in tech, attendees will be able to participate in hands-on activities with equipment they’d use in the field.
Per Scholas will also provide information about its free remote and in-person IT training classes.

The tech career sessions will be held throughout the fall:
- Sept. 4: 11 a.m. to noon at Irvington Branch, 10 S. Audubon Road
- Sept. 4: 1-2 p.m. at East Washington Branch, 2822 E. Washington St.
- Oct. 9: Noon to 1 p.m. at Haughville Branch, 2121 W. Michigan St.
- Nov. 6: 1-2 p.m. at Michigan Road Branch, 6201 N. Michigan Road
- Dec. 4: 1-2 p.m. at Glendale Branch, 3660 E. 62nd St.
Attendees should register for the class in advance on the library’s event page. Sessions are free and open to the public.
