Pregnant people in Indianapolis can meet with doulas, learn about labor and find health resources on March 28.

The free event, “Connections before Contractions,” is hosted by Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective, a group of doulas supporting Black families through pregnancy and childbirth. 

From 1-4 p.m. at the International District Community Center, 3540 Commercial Drive, participants can get to know doulas. They will also learn about ways to make labor more comfortable. 

The event features vendors, raffle prizes, mom and baby gifts and services vouchers. To attend, you must register on Eventbrite by March 21.
