College is expensive — but there are thousands of scholarships available to help. 

The Center for Leadership Development is hosting a scholarship workshop for students and families Nov. 12. The event is free and open to the public.

The workshop will review how to navigate scholarship databases, how to write a scholarship essay and what types of scholarships students may be eligible for.

The workshop will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Center for Leadership Development, 2425 Martin Luther King, Jr. St. 

Parents and students should register for the workshop in advance online.
