Hey, it’s Byron and April Elliott back for another food adventure! In case you missed our first one exploring the near north side, this is a little tradition in our family where we spend a whole day being tourists in our own city. We visit restaurants we’ve been wanting to check out and explore areas of the city we don’t get out to much.
This time, we visited three tight-knit neighborhoods on the near east side: Arsenal Heights, Holy Cross and Woodruff Place. There’s so much variety in the types of food you can find on this side of town. We grabbed breakfast sandwiches at Cafe Oztara, a Mediterranean lunch at Yazsh and pizza at Futuro.
I hope this inspires you to get out and taste something new this week!
