The Bean Creek Neighborhood Association will host a bike rally on Aug. 1 to promote bike safety.

Attendees will receive free bike helmets, bicycle repairs, hot dogs and snow cones. There will also be a neighborhood bike ride.

The event is funded through a grant from the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center.

People can meet from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Villa Baptist Church, 2650 Villa Ave.
