There will be a new face representing Decatur Township on the City-County Council.
Joshua Masquelier is poised to be selected as the councilor representing District 21. He is the only candidate to have submitted his name to fill a void left by Josh Bain, who resigned last month to accept an appointment to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.
The Marion County Republican Party will hold a caucus at 6 p.m. Sept. 2 to fill the vacancy.
Masquelier is active in Republican politics. He’s on the Decatur Township Board, president of the Decatur Township Republican Club and a precinct committee member.
He also works in sales for Pump Pros, an Ohio-based company that distributes industrial pumps, mechanical seals, and other equipment to various industries.
