Hispanic Heritage Month officially begins Sept. 15. This year’s calendar includes festivals, concerts, food events, dancing, art and family-friendly activities in Indianapolis and communities around the state.
Some of the biggest events include FIESTA Indianapolis, Raíces Festival and the Indiana Latino Expo. There are also dance nights, artist markets, folkloric performances, university events and opportunities to grow your professional network.
And it’s not all happening in Indy. Bloomington, Columbus, Lafayette, Frankfort, Anderson, Crawfordsville, Fishers, Plainfield and Westfield also have celebrations on the calendar.

Indianapolis
Perreo Land Festival: Hispanic Heritage Edition

FIESTA Indianapolis

One of Indy’s most iconic and longest-running Latino festivals returns. Since 1981, FIESTA Indianapolis has brought together music, food, entertainment and activities for the whole family.
Rice & Beans Festival

Indiana Latino Institute College & Career Fair

The fair connects high school students with colleges, trade schools, employers and resources to help them explore their options after graduation.
Viernes Cultural

Día de la Familia

High school students and their families can learn about life at Marian University and receive information in Spanish about admissions, scholarships and financial aid, academic programs, athletics, residence halls, faith and spirituality, as well as hands-on simulations in engineering, nursing and education.
Indiana Latino Expo

Herencia Hispana y Folklor

Now in its sixth year, Alexander Coleman Dance Company Arts’ Herencia Hispana y Folklor Festival offers a free, family-friendly celebration with music and dance, a cumbia class, traditional Mexican fashion, children’s activities and a marketplace featuring Latino artists, vendors and businesses.
Fiesta de la Familia

Latinos Indy is a bilingual community platform helping Latinos across Central Indiana find local news, events, businesses, jobs and resources. It was founded in 2024 by Hoosier Latina and Indianapolis native Sonya Anaya Chevigny.
Artist Andie Arana Gomez was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and immigrated to Central Indiana with their family in 2015. In 2025, Arana Gomez received their Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a minor in French from Ball State University. They are the community engagement co-director for Indiana Latino Arts.
