Members and supporters of Indiana’s immigrant community are invited to a free community resource day Feb. 16 at Community Alliance of the Far Eastside.

The event, running from 2-5 p.m, is organized by Alliance for Latino Migrant Advocacy, an organization that advocates for rights and resources for immigrants. This year lawmakers have filed several bills targeting immigration, and Gov. Mike Braun has pledged Indiana law enforcement’s assistance with new federal immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump.

The event will feature a Q&A with an immigration attorney, a presentation on mutual aid and resources for educators and students. The organization will also provide updates on policies impacting immigrants in Indiana and teach attendees how to advocate at the Statehouse.

Attendees can also receive donated clothing and housing products. Free notary services will also be available.
