You can protect the environment and reclaim some space at home by recycling electronics for free from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 29 at Krannert Park, 605 S. High School Road.
In Indiana, it’s illegal to put most electronic waste in the trash due to the presence of toxic heavy metals. Instead, residents can drop off their electronics at one of three hazardous waste drop-off sites.
But the sites are located far from people living in the western and southwestern parts of the city, so events like this one on the west side provide easier access.
