Meet the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s new police chief and learn about the agency’s plans for policing on the west side Feb. 24.

Chief Tanya Terry and other members of the IMPD command staff will host a Coffee with the Chief event at 10:30 a.m. at Nest Event Center, 2108 W. Michigan St.

Terry is a 27-year veteran of IMPD and is the first woman to be appointed chief. She was commander of the southwest district, which includes Decatur Township and parts of Wayne and Perry townships, from 2021 to 2024.

Coffee will be provided at the event. All are welcome.
