Check out the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s community day from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Southwest District headquarters, 551 N. King Ave. 

The free event will include hot dogs, ice cream, a bounce house, DJ and free community resources.

Kids also can meet horses from the IMPD Mounted Patrol and participate in a bicycle safety course.

Admission and activities are free.
