The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is inviting the public to help shape its strategic plan.
IMPD has hired Taylor Advising, an Indianapolis-based consultant, to develop a long-term strategic plan that will shape the department’s goals for the next five years.
The public’s input “is crucial in shaping IMPD’s future direction,” according to an email sent by Taylor Advising.
Indy residents can provide feedback in one of two ways: by taking an anonymous survey or in person at one of seven upcoming listening sessions.
The survey, which should take about 20-25 minutes to complete, will collect feedback on how IMPD can best serve people in the city. The information will be compiled to establish community priorities, trends and strategic recommendations. Information from the survey will not be used to identify individuals.
In-person listening sessions
The listening sessions will be led by a team from Taylor Advising, without IMPD representatives. Those interested in attending a session can register at the Eventbrite links below.
