A new health clinic is opening on the far east side of Indianapolis.

The Family Express Care Clinic is located inside the Community Alliance of the Far Eastside, 8902 E. 38th St., Suite 500. It offers primary care and pediatrics, including physical exams, health screenings, sick visits and diabetes management.

Clients can use Medicaid or most major insurance to pay for care. Self-pay visits start at $169.

Nurse practitioner TaQuita Taylor started the location to expand services in the neighborhood. In the 46226 ZIP code, about 17% of people live below the poverty line and uninsured rates are higher.

“We want to let the community know we are here to try to decrease hospitalizations and ER visits,” Taylor said. “We’re along the bus line. People can walk in.”

The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can schedule an appointment online
