JCA Signature Series Lecture: Vijay Gupta

📍 Butler University’s Eidson-Duckwall Recital Hall, 4600 Sunset Ave.
Nationally-renowned violinist and activist Vijay Gupta is the founder and artistic director of Street Symphony Project, a Los Angeles community of artists working to help individuals dealing with homelessness, reentry and substance misuse disorder. This performance will also be livestreamed.

Music at Butler: Butler University Choirs
🗓️ 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13
📍 Schrott Center for the Arts, 610 W. 46th St.
Under the direction of Eric Stark, the Butler Chorale and Spectra will celebrate “home” in this concert with works spanning centuries. Compositions by Felix Mendelssohn and Matthew Lyon Hazzard are among the itinerary. This event will also be livestreamed.
Levitt Vibe Indianapolis Music Series
🗓️ Noon Sunday, Oct. 13
📍 Garfield Park Art Center, 2432 Conservatory Drive
Clint Breeze, Sarah Grain & The Billions of Stars, Juan William Chavez and Girl Ultra are all on the lineup for the sixth of seven free concerts as part of the Levitt Vibe series hosted by Arte Mexicano en Indiana and Big Car.
While you’re there, you can check out some art in the Garfield Park Art Center, which will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Más Artes Más Cultura presenta Indygaita
🗓️ 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20
📍 Indianapolis Artsgarden, 110 W. Washington St.
To wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, the Venezuelan music group Indygaita will perform traditional music indigenous to the country. The group of 12 musicians released its first album in 2022.

Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Spark on the Circle

📍 Monument Circle, 1 Monument Circle
Take your lunch to Monument Circle every Monday in October to hear music from classics to pop hits. On Oct. 21, the quartet will consist of violinist Yeajin Kim, violist Yang Guo, cellist Adam Lee and flutist Dianne Seo.

Lunch Break with Mina Keohane
🗓️ Noon Wednesday, Oct. 23
📍 Monument Circle, 1 Monument Circle
Pianist Mina Keohane will perform at Spark on the Circle. She has worked with several notable local bands, including Sarah Grain & The Billions of Stars, and has opened for several national acts, including Nathaniel Rateliff & the Nightsweats.

Teddy Bear Concert Series
🗓️ 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26
📍 Hilbert Circle Theatre, 45 Monument Circle
Designed for children ages 3-7, the Teddy Bear Concert Series introduces children to the orchestra through music, storytelling and movement. Kids can also make crafts, try out instruments and meet with orchestra members. Registration is required.
