New parents and their partners can attend a free childbirth education workshop on Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22.

The event is organized by the Indy Melanated Birthworker Collective, a group of local doulas supporting Black families through pregnancy and childbirth. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the first day of the workshop, participants will learn about the stages of labor and pain management. On the second day, between noon and 6 p.m., speakers will discuss birth and postpartum care.

The workshop will be hosted at the International District Community Center, 3540 Commercial Drive. Spots are limited and you must register in advance on Eventbrite
