Understanding Medicare isn’t always easy, but the Indianapolis Public Library is trying to make it fun.

The library is partnering with SHIP, the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, to host medicare bingo from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, March 18, at its branch at 6201 N. Michigan Road. The game will include prizes (of course), and information to help seniors understand what Medicare is and how it works for Indiana residents.

SHIP provides free, impartial counseling for anyone making decisions about Medicare and their health care options. Trained volunteers can refer people to insurance agencies and help people apply for assistance.
