If you’re looking for a way to keep your kids busy for these last few weeks before school starts, Madam Walker Legacy Center is having free virtual summer camp.

The Madam Walker Summer Institute is offering a series of webinars throughout July where students can learn about science, technology, engineering, arts and math.

Upcoming virtual sessions cover topics like youth entrepreneurship, coding and poetry.

Campers can also take a free walking tour of the Madam Walker Legacy Center and Indiana Avenue with local historian Sampson Levingston at 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout July. Sign up for a tour online with the Madam Walker Legacy Center.

If you go

The virtual sessions are from 1-2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through July 31, a Madam Walker representative said.

The series is open to students ages 6-14. The sessions are free, but you must pre-register online with the Madam Walker Legacy Center.
