The free event is hosted by Pathway Resource Center, a nonprofit on the Far Eastside that helps people with transportation, affordable housing, financial literacy and wellness. The first 30 people who sign up will receive a $25 gift card.

The workshop at 10119 John Marshall Drive is for ages 18 and up. At 12:30 p.m., organizers will release balloons to honor local victims of domestic violence. That’s followed by the prevention training from 1-3 p.m. 

The event also features a DJ and a free grocery giveaway. Register for a spot on Eventbrite.
