Students can learn how to navigate the city’s bus system at IndyGo’s Back-to-School Night.

The event is 6-8 p.m. July 24 at the Julia M. Carson Transit Center, 201 E. Washington St. 

Students will receive a free backpack and their own reduced-fare MyKey card that will allow them to ride the bus at IndyGo’s half-fare rate. The event will also feature free food and a DJ. 

Students enrolled in an IndyGo partner school or program can ride the bus for free with their MyKey card. Those schools and programs include: 

  • Indianapolis Metropolitan High School
  • Purdue Polytechnic high schools
    • Broad Ripple
    • Englewood
  • Indianapolis Public Schools and programs
    • Arsenal Tech
    • Crispus Attucks
    • George Washington
    • Shortridge
    • KIPP Indy
    • Simon Youth Academy
    • Unified Student Supports team
    • Positive Supports Academy
  • Herron high schools
    • Herron High School
    • Herron-Riverside High School
