Boybarella (they/them) is an artist and former burlesque performer currently based in Bloomington, Indiana. They received a BFA in Sculpture from the Herron School of Art and Design in 2016. After graduating, they found a second home in The White Rabbit Cabaret, where they produced shows such as Fruit Pie: A Queer Cabaret, Odalisque, Crying at the Disco: A Tender Burlesque Revue, and The Madness of Kissing: A Masquerade Ball. They have been featured in music videos for Hyper Tensions and CUSSY, an exhibition of LGBTQIA+ alumni at Herron School of Art and Design, and burlesque festivals such as the Show Me Burlesque Festival and the Nashville Burlesque Festival. In September 2024, they released a chapbook, nipple gasps, wherein they attempted to document some of the ephemeral aspects of stage performance.
