Rebecca Berfanger is a solo attorney, adjunct professor (Media Law & Ethics for Ball State journalism students; First Amendment at IU McKinney Law), freelance journalist, and aspiring podcast host ("Another's Lyric," an on-again, off-again First Amendment podcast). She has written for Indianapolis Monthly, South Magazine, Columbus Magazine, NUVO, Indianapolis Business Journal, and local legal publications. She volunteers for performing arts groups, and was previously on the boards of Earth Charter Indiana, Indy Film Fest, Circle City Roller Derby, and Step-Up Inc. (HIV/AIDS-related issues).
