This winter, many of Indy’s school theater stages will see a young performer’s first time in the spotlight. And as a member of their community, you can show up and support their talent. All you have to do is break out your holiday sweaters and seasonal socks, and show up at these family-friendly, winter-themed spectaculars. Many of them are free!
Crispus Attucks High School
Winter Showcase

The once-popular Crispus Attucks musical theater program was revived earlier this year. This winter season, you can see performances from students that have been learning all year as part of the program. The Crispus Attucks band, choir and orchestra are part of the show too. Free.

Winter Arts Showcase

Community members and prospective students are invited to tour the new art spaces in the school buildings and then stick around for a show. Starting at 5:30 p.m., head to the gym to see performances by all students. Free.
Lawrence Central High School
Holiday Spectacular

This show features talent from all 22 performing arts ensembles at the school, with a new lineup each night. Tickets: $10 adults; $5 for students and children.

Warren Central High School
Tickets for all of Warren Central student shows are $8 or free for children 3 and under. They have everything from a cappella choirs to jazz ensembles and sleigh-themed selections.

You will want to reserve your seats for the show, which will feature 16th Street Soul (the a cappella choir), Bella Coro (treble choir), Connection (mixed-show choir), Fermata (men’s choir), Hi-Lites (treble show choir), Spirit (treble choir) and Warrior Sound (WC’s special needs choir). An elementary honor choir of students from Warren Township Elementary Schools will also perform.
