The Burmese American Community Institute is hosting two workshops Oct. 8 and 14 to help students, parents and guardians fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Make sure to create your Federal Student Aid account online ahead of time, as the approval process can take several days.
Students should make sure to have a list of schools they want to send financial aid information to. Parents and students should also bring their Social Security or immigrant registration number, 2024 tax returns and records of untaxed income or child support.

To make sure you’re eligible for state financial aid, such as the Frank O’Bannon Grant, students should complete the form by April 15, 2026.

The workshops will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 14, at BACI’s new office, 5212 Bluff Road.
Parents and students should make an appointment for a time slot before attending. Request an appointment online by filling out this Google Form.
