Beech Grove is ramping up to host a slew of fun events throughout the summer.

They include opportunities to purchase fresh produce and listen to music outdoors while watching the sunset.

The weekly Beech Grove farmers market is a partnership between Next Stop, Beech Grove, Franciscan Alliance and the Beech Grove Parks Board. Residents can visit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Tuesday through September at the Franciscan Health parking lot, 1300 N. Albany St.

The city’s summer concert series will welcome local musicians twice a month through August. Food trucks and kids play areas will also be set up at each event.

Residents can pick up a free concert yard sign from the Hornet Park Community Center while supplies last. People can enter to win a free drink holder and concert T-shirt if they post a photo of the yard sign and tag the Hornet Park Community Center on Facebook using #BeechGroveSummerConcert.

Concerts will be held Thursday evenings at the Sarah T. Bolton Park, 1300 Churchman Ave. The 15th Avenue and Main Street entrance will be closed, according to a Beech Grove Parks Facebook post. People can enter the park using the Churchman Avenue and 13th Avenue entrance.
