Far Eastsiders are invited to celebrate the completion of the neighborhood’s quality of life plan at a free event.

The celebration is 6-9 p.m. June 5 at the Indiana Black Expo building, 601 N. Shortridge Road.

The event will feature speakers, family friendly activities and refreshments. Attendees can learn about the completed plan and how it will be implemented.

A quality of life plan is a set of goals and strategies created by residents to improve their neighborhood. The Far Eastside’s quality of life plan includes five focus areas:

  • Housing affordability and equitable growth
  • Financial stability and economic opportunities
  • Safe and healthy environments
  • Multigenerational power
  • Art, culture and belonging

Registration for the celebration is not required. More information about the Far Eastside’s quality of life plan can be found online.
