It’s Black-owned business galore with a celebration of #BlackJoyUnfiltered during Daptoberfest Oct. 24 at Warren Central High School.
From 4 to 10 p.m., guests can purchase food, art, jewelry and learn about resources from more than 150 Black- and minority-owned businesses in the food court area and PMPHASE vendor marketplace. Tickets are free, but you must RSVP.
This year’s festival theme is “homecoming” and that includes a homecoming court presentation and a special HBCU-style drumline battle, featuring Brave Inc. vs. Sounds of Legacy.
Local musicians, including Kiella Squires, Ali Cheri, Foosie Thirty-One, Seline Fire, Sir Texas and Kyndl will perform on the Black Onyx Management soundstage.

Daptoberfest was created in 2021 to highlight Black-owned businesses by focusing on ones who do not have a traditional brick-and-mortar, website or supply chain operation.
The event — co-sponsored by Black Onyx Management, Naptown Votes, PMPHASE, Samantha Douglass and Naptown Don’t Sleep — offers Black business owners a venue to network with other entrepreneurs and connect with new clients.
