988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline

If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, a mental health crisis or a substance use crisis, call or text 988 to reach a trained crisis specialist. Available 24/7. You do not have to provide your name or personal information to receive care. For Spanish speakers, text AYUDA to 988 or click here.

 Alzheimer’s Association Helpline

Free, 24/7 helpline for individuals and families experiencing a crisis related to Alzheimer’s and dementia. Call 800-272-3900 to reach a specialist who can provide support or connect you to local resources. Bilingual staff available in Spanish, along with a translation service for additional languages.

Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline

Support for people concerned about or affected by child abuse. Call or text 800-422-4453 to reach a crisis counselor. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911. The website’s information also is available in Spanish, French and other languages. 

National Domestic Violence Hotline

Free, confidential and 24/7 support for people experiencing domestic abuse and sexual abuse. Call 800-799-7233 or text START to 88788 to reach a crisis counselor. Search for local resources here. Click here to access the website in Spanish. 

National Sexual Assault Hotline 

Free, confidential and 24/7 support for survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and incest. Call 800-656-4673 to speak with a crisis counselor. Search for local resources here. Click here to access the website in Spanish.

SAMHSA’s National Helpline 

Free, confidential and 24/7 information service for people facing mental and/or substance use disorders. Call 800-662-4357. Connects callers to local treatment facilities, support groups and community organizations. Click here to access the website in Spanish. 

The Trevor Project 

Suicide prevention and crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ youth. Call 866-488-7386 or text START to 678-678 to reach a crisis counselor. Available 24/7.

Veterans Crisis Line 

24/7 confidential crisis support for veterans and their loved ones. Accessible without VA benefits or health care. Call 988 and press 1 or text 838255.

Indiana 211

A free, 24/7 information and referral hotline to find resources for various topics, including counseling, child and family services, housing assistance, shelter, health care, legal aid and help for domestic and sexual violence. You can also text your ZIP code to 898-211 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Keystone Consumer Organization Warmline

A non-crisis hotline that connects people with peers who are also in recovery for mental health challenges. Call 800-933-5397 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

Love is Respect

An information and advocacy resource about healthy relationships and abuse prevention for young people from ages 13 to 26. Call 866-331-9474 or text LOVEIS to 22522 to talk to an advocate. Access the website in Spanish here

Moms Helpline Indiana

Confidential help for prenatal care, pregnancy, parenting, infant development and/or referrals for OB-GYNs, pediatricians and family medicine providers. The hotline can also help parents get free or discounted diapers, car seats, baby formula, food and clothing. Call 844-624-667 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. For Spanish, press 2. Interpreters for additional languages are available.
