The Sikh Society of Indiana will host its 12th annual Nagar Kirtan Sikh Day Parade April 25.
The event is a way for the organization to give back to the community, share history and promote cultural awareness.
The parade will weave through a few streets in downtown Indianapolis and is expected to welcome people from across the country. The celebration will also include a prayer and free food.
Attendees don’t have to be Sikh to participate.
The Nagar Kirtan Sikh Day Parade will be from noon to 5 p.m. April 25 at War Memorial Park, 55 E. Michigan St.
